Why I’m doing this challenge this Feb 💛
February can be a quiet month. Cold mornings, short days, a pause between the rush of winter and the promise of spring. For me, it feels like the right time to walk — slowly, intentionally — and to give something back.
I’m taking on a personal challenge to walk 2km every day throughout February in support of SANDS UK, a charity that supports anyone affected by the loss of a baby. It’s a cause that is deeply close to my heart.
I have lost.
And I know I’m not alone in that.
Baby loss is something so many people carry quietly. It touches families, friends, colleagues — often without us ever knowing. It’s a grief that doesn’t always have words, timelines, or visible markers, but it stays with you. Some days it’s heavy, other days it’s gentle, but it’s always there.
SANDS UK exists to make sure no one has to walk this path alone. They offer support, understanding, and compassion to those navigating the unimaginable, while also working to improve care and raise awareness so fewer families have to experience this pain in the future.
This fundraiser isn’t about speed or distance — it’s about showing up, one day at a time. Just like grief. Just like healing. Each 2km walk is a small act of remembrance, love, and gratitude for the support that exists and the support still needed.
By donating, sharing, or even just reading this, you’re helping to turn loss into something meaningful — into care, community, and hope for others who may need it one day.
Thank you for walking beside me in spirit this February, and for helping me give back to a charity that gives so much to so many. 💛

My Updates
Almost at the end
Tuesday 24th Feb So as I reach the final few days I would like to share that I’ve found such lovely peace and comfort in the walking and (very slow) running I’ve did this month. Some nights I’ve doubled up as I knew I would miss the odd night but I’ve enjoyed raising money for a cause that’s so personal to so many families but so unspoken about as well! Thank you for the support just a final push and we are almost there 💕 ShareThank you to my Sponsors
