Walking 100km for Baby Burrows ❤️

In September, we will be taking on a 100km walk for SANDS during Baby Loss Awareness Month, walking in memory of our beautiful baby boy, Baby Burrows.

On 9th May 2025 we gave birth to our baby boy knowing that we would never get to take him home.  There are no words that can truly describe losing your baby. You spend your pregnancy imagining the life you will have together — meeting them, holding them, watching them grow — and then suddenly you are having to say goodbye before you have even had the chance to say hello.

Baby Burrows will always be our son. He may not have had the chance to grow up, but he existed, he was loved, and he will always be part of our family. He is Francesco’s big brother in the sky, and we make sure his little life and memory are never forgotten.

We were incredibly lucky to have people around us who supported us through the darkest time, but baby loss can also feel incredibly lonely. SANDS is there for families experiencing the unimaginable, providing support, understanding and somewhere to turn when you feel like nobody else could possibly understand.

That’s why this walk means so much to us.

100km is a long way, and I’m sure there will be moments when our legs hurt, we are exhausted and we wonder why we thought this was a good idea! 😂 But every step will be for Baby Burrows and for every baby who was loved but never got the chance to grow up.

We are walking because we want his life to mean something.

We are walking because we want to keep saying his name.

We are walking because no baby should ever be forgotten.

And we are walking because somewhere along those 100 kilometres, we hope we can turn some of the pain we experienced into something that helps another family feel a little less alone.

For our beautiful boy, Baby Burrows. Your life was far too short, but your place in our family is forever.
