My target 62 kms
2km a day in January for Jac
Just 6 weeks ago, at 41 weeks pregnant, we went to hospital for labour induction expecting to bring our baby home. Instead we were told that there was no longer a heartbeat. Our precious boy Jac was stillborn on 17th November.
From the day we were given the heartbreaking news we received resources donated by Sands that helped us understand the next steps and create special memories with our boy. Sands also provide a community for people experiencing baby loss, campaign for change, provide training for healthcare professionals and support important research.
Ben and I, along with some of our lovely friends, have committed to running at least 2km a day in January for Jac and every other much loved baby sadly not here today.

Absolutely heartbreaking to read your post shared by Rebecca Algieri. Me and my wife lost a boy back in 2023 at 23 weeks and the impact that had on our lives was profound. What you're going through is probably one of the hardest things anyone can go through, but most people won't know or understand the pain your experiencing. You'll get through it in time and you will heal, but it takes time. Love and cherish the time you had with him, and what your doing to raise money is a testament to you both.
