🤍 100KM FOR SANDS 🤍

So… I’ve decided to walk 100km this September to raise money for SANDS.

I was born an identical twin, but my twin sister Theresa passed away very shortly after birth.

I obviously never got to know her, but growing up as an identical twin without my twin has brought its own struggles, a feeling I can’t quite explain. There’s always been that question of what would she have been like, what would we have been like together, and what would life look like if she was still here?

I’ve often felt like I’m a constant reminder of someone who was lost, while at the same time feeling like I lost a part of myself too.

I don't talk about it all that often, but I wanted to do something this year that felt meaningful.

And with me turning 30 in September, it felt like the right time.

So… 100km it is! 😂

Some will be outdoor walks, some will be treadmill walks while I'm at home with the kids!

But it’s 100km for my sister, for SANDS, and for all the families who have experienced baby loss.

And it’s also a little challenge to myself — after having the summer holidays off work, and to get more active, look after myself and start my 30s on a positive note.
