My 5k swim for Sands

This November, I’ll be taking on a 5K swim to raise money for Sands, a charity that’s quite close to my heart.

5K might not sound too scary until you realise that in a 25m pool, it’s 100 lengths up and back! 😅 So I’ve got a fair few hours in the pool ahead of me!

I’m doing this for Sands because I’ve seen through friends just how devastating the loss of a baby can be. Sands has been there to support people I care about through an incredibly traumatic time, and the support they provide really does make a difference. I’ve also been lucky enough to see some of those friends go on to have their beautiful rainbow babies, which makes this cause feel even more personal to me.

Throughout November, I’ll be keeping track of every swim and how much of that 5K I’ve completed, with the aim of finishing the full 5K by the end of the month!
