I’m swimming in November for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to swimming this November for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change and provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals so that fewer babies die and fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

For those of you that know me well,  you'll know that I love swimming and that over the last few months this is something I have increased doing. It was for this reason as I was zipping up and down the pool I realised I wanted to challenge myself more. 
Baby loss at any stage is heartbreaking and more often than not its not spoken about enough. 
Becoming a mum was something I always wanted to be.  I wanted to read the bedtime stories, dress up at halloween, Go crazy at Christmas and create that lovely home. But, achieving that goal was hard and I had multiple miscarriges and heartbreak along the way. I never knew how to handle the loss as it always felt so cold and clinical. It was, is, a very lonley place.
 I am lucky to have wonderful friends and family and ofcourse my absolute rock of a husband. But, it is a hard mental process to comprehend for everyone. 
Everyone who experiences baby loss at any point needs help and support and to never feel alone.
