2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I usually do a charity walk for Cancer Research but, this year I thought I would support a different charity. One that is hardly mentioned because of the nature of it. Please give anything you can, I am leaving their pre written words on here as its far more eloquent than I could write. xx

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

A great start!

Wednesday 2nd Sep
As most of my friends know, I have osteoarthritis in both knees. This means exercise is painful but also necessary. With that in mind, I have decided to count my steps for the whole day and convert them to km.
Yesterday I was at work and so covered a fair amount of ground, just over13 km! 😁 My real challenge is to go for walks on my days off too but, today is another work day. Hopefully I'll cover a similar distance again. 🤞🏻
