This May, we’re taking on 31 miles for SANDS – in memory of our babies and all the little lives gone too soon.
This cause is incredibly close to our hearts. Holly and I (Kiri) will be jogging the 31 miles, with my sister-in-law Lauren and Chris cycling alongside us for support — Lauren going the extra mile by riding an incredible 93 miles to carry the memory even further.
We’re doing this especially for Rory Dunlop, our precious little boy who was born sleeping at 15 weeks and 3 days. Though his time with us was heartbreakingly short, Rory left an everlasting mark on our lives and the hearts of all who love him.
We’re also jogging for Figgy — our second baby, lost at 11 weeks and 5 days — and for all the babies lost by our family, our friends, and the many others who’ve walked this path.
Miscarriage and baby loss are still such difficult topics to talk about, but we believe in breaking the silence. Our babies will always be a part of us. They will never be forgotten, and we’ll always speak their names.
We’re doing this for SANDS, a charity that supports families through the unthinkable. Every mile is for Rory. Every step is for Figgy. Every donation helps others like us receive the support they so deeply need when their world stops turning.
We carry them with us always – this is for them.💛🩵🤍
So so proud of you! I love you lots, you've got this girl!
