I’m walking 100K in memory of Alice, born sleeping in 2013.

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands supported me, and I want to ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. Sands campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

A huge thank you to everyone that sponsored me, encouraged me, walked with me and listened to me moan!
It's been more of a struggle than I anticipated. 20km ago, I didn't think I'd make it, but I'm so pleased I managed to push on.
I am so grateful for all of the sponsorship, I know first hand what it means to be supported by Sands, and I know how vital it is. 

Week 1

Sunday 8th Mar
I'm one week in and almost a quarter through the 100km walk, which is thankfully exactly where I wanted to be. 
I've done a little solo walking, but mainly walking with family, friends and colleagues. Having the opportunity to discuss life's challenges, talk about the scenery or the weather whilst walking and taking it all in has been so good. I hope I can keep it going after March (my knees are not as keen as the rest of me)!
