I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
This October, during Baby Loss Awareness Week, I’m taking part in the Sands Ribbon Run, walking 12km from Helensburgh to Shandon and back with my triple rainbow baby.
Between 2024 and 2025, I lost three babies. Miscarriage is still something we rarely talk about. There can be an expectation to keep it private, carry on and return to normal — even when your life has completely changed.
Baby loss doesn’t end when the physical loss does. The grief, fear and anxiety can stay with you long afterwards, and pregnancy after loss can bring a whole new level of uncertainty.
Sands supports families through that loss, provides vital support and information, campaigns for better care and funds research to help prevent future baby deaths.
I’m walking for my three babies, for Jamie, and for every family who has experienced baby loss — particularly those who have felt they had to suffer quietly.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean so much. 💗
