2026 Ribbon Run Manchester

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run in Manchester which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week on Saturday 10 October 2026. I am taking part for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

My Journey - Baby Loss

Tuesday 29th Sep
I suffered a miscarriage in Sept 2015 with only the offer of a cup of tea from the NHS, resources at the time were not great. A 2 week wait for answers in my first pregnancy feeling lost, alone and helpless. After wanting a baby and building a career first, waiting then finding out I was pregnant after Michael had just proposed after 14years together felt amazing. Sadly it was not the right time for us.

I now have 2 beautiful daughters; Isla and Evie. An amazing circle of friends and family. It was a massive kick that is still so hard to explain. If this journey helps one person struggling it was worth telling.
I finally sought out help when i was ready to let it in.
Getting outside every day for walks, talking to friends, doing yoga and seeking professional support was the way I brought myself back to me.

Motherhood is a rollercoaster, loss is too. For all of our battles, lets stand together, chat and walk.

We got this!
