First Day of September

Monday 1st Sep Why does 100K feel a million miles away!? But maybe you don’t get there by imagining the whole 100K, maybe you just keep running one more kilometre than last time. After being out all day with the kids, I managed to get them down to sleep by 7.30 and went straight out before it got dark, ended up finishing just under 7K. No idea how. But I’m going to keep trying that approach, just one more. 8K next time. One step closer, one run at a time. Also, so grateful for the sky tonight! Share

Pushing Through the First Practice 5K

Sunday 24th Aug I haven’t run since before falling pregnant with George and honestly thought I wouldn’t make it past the first kilometre without stopping. The second kilometre was the hardest, every step felt like a mental battle but before I knew it, I had run 5 kilometres in 35 minutes. Starting to think that aiming for 100K in a month might be a little ambitious, but I guess that’s what makes it a challenge. So grateful for my two healthy babies but the pain of losing my first pregnancy will always stay with me. For that little life that never got the chance to grow and for those women I love who know this heartbreak all too well, every kilometre, every donation will hopefully help bring healing where it is needed most x Share
