I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
In October, I’ll be taking part in the SANDS Ribbon Run, running 5km in memory of my beautiful baby girl, who we unexpectedly lost far too soon. 💗
Our loss came after complications from my son’s emergency C section, which resulted in the devastating loss of our beautiful daughter. Nothing could have prepared us for the heartbreak of losing our precious girl.
SANDS supported us during one of the darkest moments of our lives. Thanks to SANDS, we were given a memory box for our baby girl and access to a Cuddle Cot, giving us precious extra time with her to create memories, hold her, and say goodbye. These are memories and keepsakes we will treasure forever, and things we may not otherwise have had the opportunity to do.
SANDS supports families through the unimaginable loss of a baby, providing vital bereavement support, information, resources and a community for parents and families who are grieving.
So I’m running these 5km for my baby girl, to honour her, keep her memory alive, and help SANDS continue to be there for families facing the same devastating loss.
