I’m running 2k a day in February for families facing baby loss

This February, I’m running 2km every single day for a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.

In November 2023, my family and I lost our baby boy, Miles. He was born prematurely at 24 weeks and fought bravely for 13 days before we sadly had to say goodbye. This loss was felt deeply by all of us — myself, my partner Tash, and Riley. Losing Miles was, and always will be, one of the hardest things we will ever go through.

During that time, Sands were there for us. They supported us through the shock, the grief, and the moments when we didn’t know how to put one foot in front of the other. They provided compassion, understanding, and reassurance when we needed it most — and helped us feel less alone.

Sands ensures that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and fewer families experience the tragedy of losing a baby.

By running every day this February, I want to give something back — to repay the support Sands gave to us, and to help ensure they can continue their vital work for other families facing the unimaginable.

Thank you so much for any support you’re able to give. And if you can’t donate, a quick share of this page means just as much. Thank you.

For Miles 🤍

That’s it. 56km done ✅
2km every day in February completed — and I’m proud to say we smashed the target.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated, shared the page, or sent a message of support. It genuinely means a lot more than I can put into words. Knowing what this cause means to me and my family made every kilometre worth it.
Sands supported us through the hardest time of our lives, and being able to give something back feels really important.
I’ll definitely be keeping the running going… just after a well-earned week off 😅
Thank you again, honestly. For Miles 🤍
