I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

On Saturday 11th October, our small group of family and friends will be coming together for a coastal walk as part of the Sands Ribbon Run during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October). We are walking in love, remembrance, and hope—for the babies we hold forever in our hearts, for those close to us who have faced the pain of loss, and for every family who has had to say goodbye far too soon.

This walk is more than just steps—it is a way for us to stand together, to remember together, and to shine a light on a subject that is often left in silence. By walking side by side, we carry with us the names, the memories, and the love that will never fade.

It will also be an open and non-judgmental space—a chance for those who have experienced loss to walk, talk, and share their stories with others who understand, surrounded by love and support.

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support.

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.
