I’m swimming in November for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to swimming this November for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change and provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals so that fewer babies die and fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Swimming 15K for sands charity

Hi, my names jez and I’ll be swimming 15K throughout November for sands to raise money to help others that are going through any form of baby loss 💔 having personally been through it I can honestly say I wish we’d have reached out for counselling which many people don’t feel they can do. So every penny that myself and others raise throughout this challenge will be put to good use and help other families to learn to come to terms with losing their child, even sibling.
As a man I found it extremely hard, baby loss is predominantly focused around the mother and the father can be forgotten about but in my personal experience I found it twice as hard, coping with the loss of our unborn child, and also my wife’s world and dreams being ripped from her. We endured a long hard ivf journey which took its toll physically, emotionally and financially (which we always said didn’t matter) 3 cycles and 9 transfers later my wife Anna gave birth to our beautiful amazing little miracle Phoebe, but there’s still not a single day goes by that we don’t think about little frosty and what might have been, a brother or sister for little P. 

At times through our journey, there doesn’t seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel but that’s where sands come in, and the help and support they’ll be able to provide for others is amazing so please, please PLEASE donate as much or as little as possible because you’ll be contributing towards the help and support that a grieving family desperately needs and deserves.
