I'm knitting for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Earlier this year, Niall & I joined a club that we would never wish to be part of, after unexpectedly having to say goodbye our baby boy Micah, in the third trimester.

I'm a self-taught very slow knitter, and had started knitting a little blanket for Micah which I had started at the beginning of my pregnancy but hadn't finished before he arrived. It's been difficult to pick that project up knowing Micah won't get to see and use the blanket. However, to honour him and raise money for Sands, I've started up again - I don't have a timescale for when I'm hoping to finish it, just taking it day by day, but I will post progress photos here as we go.
