I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby who is sadly not here today.
I know how incredibly lucky I am to have my two beautiful girls. To share in all the ordinary little moments that are, in truth, anything but ordinary. I never take that gift for granted. And I know, heartbreakingly, that not every family has this gift.
Every kilometre will be for the babies who are deeply loved, missed and forever part of their families’ stories - and for the parents and families who have had to find a way forward carrying a loss that never truly leaves them.
Sands ensures that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, train midwives and healthcare professionals, and support vital research so that fewer families have to experience the unimaginable tragedy of losing their baby.
