I’m running 2k a day in Febuary for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this February for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

A Loss That Changes You Forever
Wednesday 28th JanBaby loss is something many people don’t talk about—often because it’s painful, uncomfortable, or hard to put into words. But silence can make the grief feel even heavier. This fundraiser is about breaking that silence and supporting families who have experienced the unimaginable.
The loss of a baby—at any stage—changes you forever. Dreams, plans, and futures are suddenly gone, and parents are left to navigate grief that doesn’t have a clear timeline or easy answers. It’s a kind of heartbreak that can feel incredibly isolating, especially when the world keeps moving as if nothing has changed.
Organizations that support baby loss families provide something priceless: understanding. They offer safe spaces to grieve, professional counselling, peer support, memory-making services, and resources that remind parents they are not alone—and that their baby mattered.
This cause is close to my heart. Whether through personal experience or through witnessing the pain of others, I believe deeply in the importance of compassion, awareness, and support for families walking this road. No one should have to carry this grief without help.
