Run 2k a Day in February 2026

I’m running 2k a day in Febuary for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this February for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

The Reason

Tuesday 20th Jan
Hi, I’m Jazmin :)
This February is going to look a little different for me as i’ll be running 2k everyday- not for a medal or a race, but something that matters a lot more. I will be running to raise money and awareness for Sands, a charity that supports anyone affected by pregnancy loss or death of their baby.
Pregnancy loss is something that has touched my family as well as so many others, we learn firsthand how heart breaking and life changing it can be. The loss of a baby does not just end with grief, it reshapes families. It’s a kind of pain that often goes unspoken, even though it affects so many families. The silence and taboo around baby loss is why i want to do this, to raise more awareness.
As a second year student midwife, I am discovering everyday the beauty of pregnancy but also supporting families and parents who have/are experiencing baby loss.
Midwifery isn’t only about delivering babies, caring for mothers, it’s also about walking with families through unimaginable loss, holding space for grief and offering compassion.
Each run i do is a reminder of the babies who are gone but never forgotten. It’s for parents/families learning how to navigate life after loss.
So this February, i will be running everyday, no matter the weather, tired legs or no time. All for Sands, for my family, for the families i’ve yet to meet in my future career and for the babies whose lives mattered and always will ❤️
