I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I have worked as a midwife for over 30 years, during this career I have been honoured to help families bring their babies into the world, not every baby goes home with their family, some are born unable to sustain this life, are born too soon or pass peacefully in the arms of their families. They have all left a little baby shaped mark on my heart. So I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
