I’m swimming in November for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to swimming this November for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change and provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals so that fewer babies die and fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Swimming for Lola
Saturday 10th OctThis November I'm taking on the Sands Swimming Challenge, swimming 15k over the month.
I'm doing it for our daughter, Lola.
Lola was stillborn on 31st January 2020 because of a severe heart condition. She is our middle child. Her big sister Macy was born in 2018 and her little brother Hudson in 2023.
Losing her was the hardest thing our family has ever been through and the pain doesn't leave. You learn to carry it, and she is part of everything we do.
Sands is there for anyone affected by the death of a baby, and funds support services and research so fewer families go through this. I know what that support means.
So every length in November is for Lola, and for every family who came home without their baby.
