I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

My Updates
Baby Andrew
Wednesday 19th AugOn 1st September 1995, I lost my beautiful baby boy, Andrew.
When he was delivered, we discovered that the umbilical cord had wrapped around his neck three times. It was one of the hardest and most heartbreaking times of my life. Like so many parents who experience the loss of a baby, I was left with so many emotions and questions — What did I do wrong? Why my baby? Why did this happen? Life just seemed so unfair.
Thankfully, in the years that followed, I was blessed with two beautiful daughters, who have grown to become not only my daughters but my very best friends. I am incredibly grateful for them.
But even 31 years on, I still think about Andrew. I wonder who he would have been, what he would have looked like, and what our lives might have been like if he had survived. A part of me will always wonder about the son I never got the chance to know.
I am raising money for Sands – the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, because no parent should have to face the loss of their baby alone. Sands provides vital support to bereaved families and works to improve care and understanding around baby loss.
I am making this donation and commitment in memory of my precious son, Andrew, who will always be loved, always remembered, and forever part of our family. ❤️
For Andrew, you are not alone, always in my heart xx. 🩵
