I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.
£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.
£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

It certainly wasn’t without its memorable moments!
On Saturday, I was joined by Janine who had worked incredibly hard on their fitness specifically to complete 10 km alongside me. Sunday brought another enjoyable run with Dan, followed by the obligatory Sunday brunch!.
The challenge continued in Warwick while I attended a three-day training course. One morning, my navigation skills took me unexpectedly onto Warwick Racecourse! Thankfully, I managed to escape before a jockey could saddle me up and send me over the hurdles! 🐎
Wednesday brought another adventure when a tree root sent me into an unexpected Superman impression. Unfortunately, my flying skills weren’t quite up to scratch, but thankfully, no serious damage was done! 🦸♂️
I finished Thursday’s final run with my quickest pace of the entire challenge.
Beyond the kilometres and statistics, this challenge was about something far more important: raising awareness, remembering babies gone too soon, and showing support for families affected by baby loss. 💙💗
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported and donated. Together, we’ve raised an amazing £658 so far, and every contribution helps make a difference.

Monday 7th Sep During baby loss awareness week I will be running 10k everyday for the full 7 days. This is to raise money for SANDS. As most of you know myself and my wife went through a 7 year journey of IVF, trying desperately for a child of our own. Throughout this time we lost many embryos but also managed to fall pregnant for a very short time, however we unfortunately lost our little one.
