Jake A - Worcester Half

I’m Jake from Worcester Wire Ltd, and this year I’m taking on the challenge of running a half marathon to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

Sands is a charity that means a great deal to so many families, providing support, information and a voice for those affected by the loss of a baby. Although I have never directly used Sands’ services, I know how important the work they do is and how much their support can mean to people going through an incredibly difficult time.

I wanted to take on this challenge to do something positive and help support the fantastic work Sands carries out. The half marathon will certainly be a challenge, but knowing that every mile is helping to raise money and awareness for such an important cause will give me plenty of motivation to keep going.

I’ll be running the Worcester half marathon 13th September on behalf of Sands, representing Worcester Wire Ltd, and I’d be incredibly grateful for any support you can give. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Sands continue the vital work they do for families and communities across the UK.
