I'm fundraising in aid of Sands, for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

My Biggest Challenge Yet: Running 3 Times a Week

My Biggest Challenge Yet: Running 3 Times a Week!

If you know me, you'll know that life is anything but quiet right now.
I run a seasonal business, and this is by far the busiest time of year. Long days, endless jobs to do, and very little free time. So naturally, I've decided now is the perfect time to set myself a challenge!
From now until 8th October, I am committing to running three times every week.
For most people, that might not sound like a huge challenge. But here's the thing – the last time I ran was during cross-country at school in Year 8! Since then, running has definitely not been part of my routine.
I'm not a runner. I don't have lots of spare time. Some days I'll be tired, busy, stressed, or simply not feel like doing it. That's exactly why I'm doing it.
This challenge isn't about running the fastest, setting personal bests, or competing with anyone else. It's about proving to myself that I can make time for something positive, even during the busiest season of my year.
I've chosen 8th October as my finish date because it is the day before SANDS Baby Loss Awareness Week begins. That gives this challenge a much deeper meaning and purpose. On the days when motivation is low, I'll remember why I started.
There will probably be good runs and bad runs. There may be days when I have to drag myself out of the door. There will definitely be plenty of aching muscles! But every run completed will be a small victory.
Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing updates on my progress, the highs and lows, and hopefully proving that even when life is busy, it's possible to find time for a challenge that matters.
So here we go...
Three runs a week. Sixteen weeks. One challenge.
Wish me luck!
