I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.
£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.
£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.
£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Why I chose SANDS
Thursday 28th AugIn memory of my precious daughter, Hope. Losing her was the hardest thing I have ever faced, and SANDS had been a source of comfort, support, and understanding during such a painful time.
I believe it is so important to break the silence around baby loss. Too often, these experiences are hidden, leaving families to walk through heartbreak alone. By sharing Hope’s story, raising awareness, and fundraising for SANDS, I hope to help change that. Every story matters, and every baby deserves to be remembered.
My fundraising team, Winds of Hope, was created to carry her memory forward with love. Every step I take, every ribbon tied, and every donation given is a way of keeping Hope’s name alive while also helping SANDS continue their incredible work—supporting families and improving bereavement care.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me, for remembering Hope with me, and for standing with all the families who need their voices to be heard. Together, we can break the silence.
Good luck x
