I’m running 2k a day in Febuary for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this February for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Why I’m Running

Monday 12th Jan

In February I’ll be taking part in the Sands charity Run 2K a day. I’m not a runner, but this run is very close to my heart.

Last year I found out I was expecting, and shortly after learned I had experienced vanishing twin syndrome. While I continued my pregnancy, I also carried the quiet loss of one of my babies; a grief that isn’t always visible, but is very real.

I’m running for Sands to honour my baby, to give space to that loss, and to support other families who know this pain. If you’re able to donate or share, it would mean so much 🤍
