Walking 100km in Memory of Daniel 💙
This year, I’m taking on a challenge that’s both physically tough and deeply emotional: walking 100km to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.
I’m doing this walk in memory of Daniel, our precious baby boy. Though his time with us was heartbreakingly short, he will always be part of our lives, our family, and our hearts. This walk is my way of honouring him, keeping his memory alive, and helping other families who face the pain of losing a baby.
Why Sands Means So Much
When you lose a baby, the world feels like it stops, but organisations like Sands are there to offer understanding, care, and hope. Sands supports families through the most unimaginable grief and works to improve bereavement care while funding vital research to save babies’ lives. Their work matters and I want to give back in Daniel’s name.
The Challenge Ahead
100km is a long way over 60 miles. It’s going to be physically exhausting, but every single step will be for Daniel, and for all the babies who are loved and missed every day. Every blister, every tired muscle will remind me of why I’m doing this: for him, and for the families Sands supports.
