In memory of Arlo 💙
This September, I’ll be walking 100km in memory of our beautiful baby boy, Arlo.
Arlo was born on 2nd September and, heartbreakingly, we lost him just five days later due to an undiagnosed rare genetic condition. This September, Arlo would have been 7 years old.
Seven years on, the pain of losing our son will always be a part of us. Losing a child is something no parent should ever have to experience, and it’s impossible to put into words the heartbreak that comes with it.
I’m taking on this challenge to honour Arlo’s memory and to raise money for Sands, a charity that supports families who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby.
Sands are there for families during some of the darkest moments of their lives. They provide vital support, campaign for change, train healthcare professionals and fund research, with the hope that fewer babies die and fewer families have to experience the unimaginable pain of baby loss.
