I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times.

Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.

By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping Sands continue this vital work—offering hope, understanding and support, and creating a lasting legacy in memory of every baby who has died.

Starlight Walk brings people together under the night sky to remember, reflect and walk in honour of their babies, while raising funds for Sands. If you’d like to take part, you can sign up here:
http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk. Events take place across the UK, or you can walk virtually wherever you are.

On the darkest nights, the stars shine brightest.

Thank you for helping keep that light shining.

My Updates

Featured in the Tenby Observer

Tuesday 27th Oct
I am absolutely delighted to share that the Tenby Observer has published a dedicated feature article covering our upcoming challenge for the Sands Tenby Starlight Walk. Securing this local press exclusive is a fantastic milestone, allowing us to directly connect with the Pembrokeshire community to drive event registrations and raise vital awareness for Sands.
Navigating this 4K coastal route on crutches alongside my daughter in her wheelchair will be a true physical challenge, but knowing that every step raises critical funds to support bereaved families across Wales makes every bit of recovery worth it.
Always loved. Never forgotten.

Safely home and recovering

Tuesday 27th Oct
I am safely home following my operation at lunchtime yesterday. The surgery went well, and I am now resting in bed with my leg elevated. Navigating the next few weeks completely non-weight bearing on crutches will be a true physical challenge, but knowing we are taking on the 4K Tenby Starlight Walk this December in loving memory of my four beautiful angels—Charlotte, Caderyn, Bodhi, and Nathaniel—makes every single bit of recovery worth it. Thank you so much to the hospital team for their care, and to everyone who has already helped donate 50% of our target. Always loved. Never forgotten.

This challenge and every single step of our 4K walk is dedicated to my four beautiful angels: Charlotte, Caderyn, Bodhi, and Nate. Always loved. Never forgotten.
