Why this is so important to me

Thursday 21st Aug
2020 was a hard year for the entire world. But for my family it was a year that no parent should ever have to go through. I gave birth to my twin boys at 27 weeks, after 6 days battling for their lives in neonatal, due to medical negligence my son Alexander died at just 6 days old. Leaving his brother Owen to face the battle for survival alone. It was the darkest moment of my life having to battle the loss of a baby in the midst of a pandemic. No parent should ever have to go through what we went through, that's why sands is so incredibly important. Providing support and care to families going through the most unthinkable times in their lives. Spreading awareness of baby loss and the wonderful work this charity does.
