12-Hour Gaming for Good | Raising Money for Sands
My partner and I found out in early August 2024 that we were expecting our first child. While it wasn’t planned, it was something we were both genuinely excited about and quickly began looking forward to.
Sadly, the pregnancy turned out to be ectopic, meaning it could not continue and posed serious health risks for my partner. Losing that pregnancy was incredibly difficult for us, and it opened our eyes to just how many families experience baby loss in different forms.
During that time, we learned about the work done by Sands — a charity dedicated to supporting families affected by the death of a baby, improving bereavement care, and funding research aimed at saving babies’ lives.
Their work ensures that families going through unimaginable grief are not left to face it alone.
That’s why I’m taking part in Gaming for Good, hosting a 12-hour gaming livestream to raise funds for Sands. Every donation helps Sands continue providing support, training healthcare professionals, and funding vital research.

- £20 – could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.
- £35 – could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
- £100 – could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access training, guidance and support.
