I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Our September Twins
Wednesday 2nd Sep100k for SANDS.
This year has been incredibly tough and, at times, it honestly hasn’t felt fair. What started with the excitement of finding out we were expecting twins ended in a missed miscarriage. We then discovered that it was also a partial molar pregnancy, something I never knew existed before this year.
The statistics say that miscarriage affects around 1 in 4 pregnancies, a missed miscarriage around 1 in 30, and a partial molar pregnancy around 1 in 1,000. Somehow, those statistics became my reality all at once. But alongside all of the sadness, I have also felt so much love and support from the people around me.
I’ve reached a point where I want to turn some of that sadness into something positive. I want to challenge myself, raise money for a charity that supports families through the unimaginable, and hopefully help someone else feel a little less alone like so many others have done for me. I haven’t and won’t be sharing this fully public as this is more of a personal challenge but any donation big or small will mean a lot and help continue to support the Sands Charity.
