How I got here...

I'm lucky enough to have two beautiful babies, but before each of them I had a miscarriage. Peanut was due September 15th 2012 and Jellybean should have arrived around 22nd August 2025. I'll never forget those dates and I'll never forget the memory of a whole life disappearing in the blink of an eye.

This September I'm going to celebrate my rainbow babies and honour my angel babies by raising money for Sands. Sands is the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity. They are there to support everyone touched by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. So I have committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today and would love for you to help me smash my fundraising target!

Wednesday 30th Sep
Our final walk and the sun came out to cheer us on. OPJ might miss having so many al fresco naps. 5km

Walked all the way to London to see the king at Baby Sensory. 5.25km

Elongated our pram walk a smidge and plunged the boy into darkness in the hopes of sleep but no such luck. 5.5km

Today we took Ash and Sif round the route we take on Thursdays. 4.5km

Tuesday 8th Sep
OPJ's first Baby Sensory session so we walked there and back via the park. 6.25km

Day Seven

Monday 7th Sep
The weekend was entirely swallowed by wedding prep but back to it today with my boys at the water park. 5km.

Quick solo stroll whilst bubba sleeps and home in time for his bottle. 3km

Thursday 3rd Sep
On Thursdays we join the Walking Mums Club and traipse round the country park. This is the first time I've recorded the distance though. 4.5km.

Typical rainy Manchester day so we walked the Trafford Center instead (totally counts). 2.8km

A lovely stroll round Dunham Massey for a mini shoot with our wedding photographer, what a nice way to start. 3.4km

Today OPJ had a baby sensory class and I took the chance for a walk by the river afterwards. Only 2.3km

Dear Elli, I never had children myself so it is difficult for me to fully understand the heartbreak you must have gone through, and even worse that it was twice.
