Run 2k a Day in January 2026

I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running at least  2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

My daughter, Rosie, was born at twenty six weeks gestation in April 2025, and she is missed every day.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

My Updates

First run completed.

Thursday 1st Jan
-1•C outside, so why not go for a run? My first run completed to raise vital funds for SANDS to support other families who have suffered pregnancy and post natal baby loss.

Almost time to start!

Monday 29th Dec
January is almost upon us, and I am looking forward to raising vital funds for SANDS.
Thank you to everyone who has donated/sponsored me so far, and if there is any way you can spare any spare change or donation, it would be greatly appreciated.
See you out on the road in three days!

Thank you so much!

Thursday 18th Dec
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored/donated so far; I can’t believe I have already exceeded my initial target of £150, and had to change it to £250.
You are all amazing, and I know you have either felt the loss during pregnancy yourself, or know someone who has. Let’s not make it a taboo subject, and make sure everyone knows they can, and should, talk about their losses. All the angel babies are shown through the stars in the  sky, and when they are on show, the sight is a beautiful wonder.

My reason

Thursday 18th Dec
In April 2025 I suffered a pregnancy loss at twenty six weeks gestation, and gave birth to my daughter, Rosie.
Sands supported us with bereavement support, as well as supporting us with making sure we had the necessary vocabulary to explain what had happened to the children.

Thank you to my Sponsors
