I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run in Manchester which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week on Saturday 10 October 2026. I am taking part for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

£150 smashed! One more push before Saturday

Thursday 8th Oct

A little update ahead of the Sands Ribbon Run Manchester this Saturday…

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, I’ve now reached my original £150 fundraising target! 🙌

I honestly really appreciate every single donation. Whether you donated £5, £10 or more, it all adds up and has helped me get to this point.

But with the run only a couple of days away, I’ve decided to push the target up to £200.

So… one more push! 💪

I’ll be running the 10K at Heaton Park on Saturday 10th October to raise money for Sands – the Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Society, supporting their work with families affected by baby loss and helping them continue providing vital support, information and research.

And if you’ve already donated — thank you. ❤️ You’ve already helped me reach my original target, and anything extra now will help us see if we can get to £200

One more run, for a very important reason

Thursday 8th Oct

This Saturday, 10th October, I’ll be taking part in the Sands Ribbon Run Manchester at Heaton Park as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

I’ve done quite a few runs and challenges this year, but this one feels different.

I’m running to help raise money and awareness for Sands – the Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Society, a charity that supports families who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby, while also working to improve maternity care, fund research and ultimately save babies’ lives.

Baby loss is something that affects far more people than many of us realise. Behind every statistic is a family, and a baby who will always be loved and remembered.

The Ribbon Run is a chance to come together, remember those babies, support the families who have been affected and help Sands continue the incredible work they do.

I’ll be putting the miles in on Saturday and hopefully crossing that finish line knowing that the run has helped contribute to something much bigger.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared my page or wished me luck. It genuinely means a lot. ❤️
