I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.
£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.
£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Personal Story! 🤍
Tuesday 22nd SepMy Personal Story 🤍
On Mother's Day this year, I experienced an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in emergency surgery.
It's something I never imagined I would have to go through, and the physical recovery was only one part of it. Mentally, I struggled more than I knew how to explain. There were times when I felt like I was losing myself, trying to carry on with everyday life while dealing with a loss that had changed me.
Pregnancy loss can feel incredibly lonely. Life carries on around you, but inside, you're grieving, trying to make sense of what has happened and learning how to feel like yourself again.
I have been incredibly fortunate to have had so much love and support around me. I don't know how I would have got through some of those difficult moments without it. But I also know that not everyone has that support, and the thought of someone going through this feeling completely alone breaks my heart.
That's why I've decided to take part in the Sands Ribbon Run and complete 5km to raise money for Sands.
I'm doing this for my baby, for myself, and for every parent who has experienced the heartbreak of pregnancy loss. I want to help raise awareness, encourage people to talk about their experiences and support a charity that helps bereaved families.
If sharing my story helps even one person feel less alone, then it's worth it.
If you're able to donate, no matter how small, I would be so grateful. And if you can't, sharing my fundraising page or simply showing your support means just as much.
To anyone who has experienced a loss: your grief matters, your baby matters, and you deserve support. You are not alone. 🤍
Thank you for supporting me.
Courtney 🤍
