I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

Why?…
Thursday 20th AugWhy I’m Walking 100km in September for SANDS
This September, I’m taking on a challenge that is very personal to me: I’m walking 100km to raise money for SANDS, a charity that supports people who have been affected by the devastating loss of a baby.
For me, this isn’t just about reaching 100km. It’s about turning something incredibly painful that happened to me into something positive that could hopefully help someone else.
In January 2023, I lost my baby.
Losing a baby is something I never imagined I would have to experience, and it’s incredibly difficult to put into words just how much that loss changes you. Alongside the heartbreak itself, I also found the lack of support I received from the hospital I was under extremely difficult.
At a time when I was grieving and struggling to understand what had happened, I didn’t feel that I had the support I needed from the hospital. It’s something that has stayed with me, and it’s one of the reasons I’ve decided to do this challenge.
I want other women and families going through baby loss to have a different experience.
Nobody should have to navigate such an unimaginable loss feeling alone or unsupported. SANDS provides vital support to people who are grieving, helping them feel less isolated and giving them somewhere to turn during one of the hardest times imaginable.
I’m doing this in memory of my baby, and for all the parents and families who have experienced baby loss.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would mean so much to me. Every donation will help support SANDS and the work they do for families affected by baby loss.
Thank you for reading, for supporting me, and for helping me turn 100km of walking into something that I hope will make a difference. ❤️
