I’m running 50k in September for our baby boy Elliott Joseph Cooney
I’ve committed to running 50k in September for our beautiful baby boy Elliott.
Elliott was born on the 24.04.2019 with a rare condition; Tracheal Agenesis. This meant his trachea had not fully developed which prevented him from being able to breath on his own. He sadly died shortly after his birth. We’re forever grateful we got to meet him, if only for a short time.
I’m doing this run in memory of Elliott and to keep his name alive. I love hearing his name and talking about him. He’ll always be our little baby boy and even though it’s been 6 years, we’ll never forget him and will always wish he could have stayed.
Sands offer such positive support to families through the darkest times as well as campaigning for change, providing training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
