Walking 100km for SANDS in memory of our Norbs 💙
Tuesday 25th AugIn September, I’ll be walking 100km to raise money for SANDS (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Charity), a cause that has become incredibly close to my heart.
On 30th May 2026, at 16 weeks pregnant, we lost our beautiful baby boy. He was born sleeping and lovingly known as Norbert or Norbs McCarthy.
There are no words to truly describe the heartbreak of losing our baby, but we want to do something positive in his memory. SANDS supports families who experience the devastating loss of a baby, providing vital support, information and a community for people who are going through something no parent should ever have to face.
So, throughout September, I’ll be putting one foot in front of the other and walking 100km for our Norbs. It will be emotional, challenging and, at times, I’m sure incredibly difficult, but every kilometre will be for him. ❤️
