Why I’m Walking 100k for Sands ❤️

This September, I’m walking 100km for Sands, in memory of my beautiful baby boy.

I lost my little boy during my second trimester, and honestly, there are no words for what that feels like. You never expect to have to say goodbye to your baby before you’ve even had the chance to hold them, watch them grow or make all those memories you imagined.

The heartbreak of losing my beautiful 9-month-old nephew. Losing a baby, no matter how long they were here, leaves a pain that never truly goes away. These losses have changed me forever, and they are a huge part of why this challenge means so much to me.

The pain of losing them will always be a part of me. I miss someone I never got the chance to know, and I carry him with me every single day.

I’m doing this challenge because no parent or family should have to go through baby loss feeling alone. Sands is there for families during some of the darkest moments of their lives, and I want to help them continue to be there for others.

So, for the whole of September, I’ll be putting one foot in front of the other and walking 100km for my little boy, for my nephew, and for all the other babies taken too soon.

For my beautiful boy, who was here for such a short time but will be loved for a lifetime. ❤️
