For Florence 🤍

I’m taking on the Sands 15k Swim Challenge in memory of my best friend’s beautiful baby, Florence.

I wanted to do something special in Florence’s memory, whilst raising money for a charity that supports families who experience the devastating loss of a baby.

As I take on this challenge, I know that swimming 15k will be a relatively small challenge in comparison to what my best friends, Chloe and Ricki, continue to endure. I can train, push myself through the difficult lengths and eventually reach the finish line, but they have been faced with a pain no parent should ever have to go through. No family should have to experience the loss of their precious baby, and I cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak that comes with it. I have watched my best friends have to try and re build their lives from going through the unimaginable, they truely are the strongest people I know. The challenge I’m about to face, doesn’t even touch the surface. 

I can swim 15k, but I cannot take away their pain. What I can do is honour Florence, keep her memory alive and help raise money so that Sands can continue supporting families through the unimaginable. Each length I do will be motivated by beautiful Florence 🤍

My swim will be for a beautiful girl called  Florence, who will always be remembered, always be loved and will always hold a special place in my heart.
