I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk
I’m taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times.
Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.

Walking in Memory of Our Two Babies
Tuesday 18th AugThis year, my wife and I are taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk for a reason that is incredibly personal to us.
We have lost two babies.
There are some experiences in life that change you forever, and losing a baby is something that is impossible to put into words. It is a loss that stays with you, even as life moves forward. There are days when it feels easier to talk about, and there are days when the memories and emotions come flooding back.
Our babies may not have had the chance to grow up with us, but they will always be part of our family. They will always be remembered, loved and missed.
Taking part in the Starlight Walk gives us the opportunity to remember them, to walk in their memory and to help raise money for Sands, supporting other families who are going through the heartbreak of losing a baby.
We know first-hand how difficult that journey can be, and how important it is to have support from people who understand. Sands helps bereaved families through some of the darkest moments of their lives, making sure nobody has to face baby loss completely alone.
So, on the night of the walk, we will be walking together for our two babies. Two little lives that will forever hold a place in our hearts.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Every penny raised will help Sands continue the vital work they do for families affected by baby loss.
