I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Ribbon Run Dedication 🫶🏻

Saturday 12th Sep
This is my first year running for the Ribbon Run event, after partaking in a few other events for Sands this one spoke to me personally as it’s around my birthday. I’m dedicating this run to my 5 unnamed, unborn babies who I never got the chance to meet, each one loved so much in such a short amount of time, always loved but never forgotten 🤍 here’s hoping we fill the pot and the donations can go towards supporting women like me, who want nothing more than to be holding their babies in their arms, we do this for you 🫶🏻 you are seen, you are loved, and you are supported 😘🎀

Introduction

🎀 Introducing my Ribbon Rub for SANDS 🎀

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and explain why I have chosen to take part in the Ribbon Run for SANDS — the charity supporting families affected by the devastating loss of a baby.

Baby loss is something that is incredibly difficult to put into words. It is a type of grief that can feel very lonely, particularly because the world doesn’t always know what to say or how to support you.

For me, SANDS is a charity that represents something incredibly important: making sure those babies are remembered, and making sure the families who love them don’t have to face that grief alone.

I chose to support SANDS because I know how deeply wanted, loved and cherished a baby can be long before you ever get to hold them in your arms. I know how much hope can be wrapped up in those tiny lives, and how devastating it can be when that future suddenly disappears.

There are so many families who have experienced this heartbreak, often silently. Behind every statistic is a baby who had a name, a family who loved them, and a story that deserves to be remembered ❤️

That is why this means so much to me.

I want to use my Ribbon Run to help raise awareness, raise money and, most importantly, help remind people that baby loss matters.

Every ribbon represents a story.
Every donation can help another family.
And every baby deserves to be remembered.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more about my journey, why I’ve chosen to take part and how you can support me.

If you would like to follow along, share my posts or donate, it would mean more to me than you probably realise.

For every little life that was loved.
For every family that has had to say goodbye.
And for the babies who will never be forgotten
