2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.

As many of you know, I recently had my little boy Noah,  he came after we were told we had miscarried twice before. During my labour, things escalated quickly, we were induced early due to pregnancy complications and after my waters were broke things started to go wrong very quickly. I was stuck at 3cm dilated due to my oxygen levels dropping resulting in me loosing consciousness, Noah then became distressed and his heart rate dropped significantly so I was put to sleep and rushed for an emergency c-section. During the surgery, my oxygen continued to drop and I ended up haemorrhaging which nearly resulted in a blood transfusion.

Noah initially came out not breathing but after a little extra help and a few hours in special care they were able to find his infection and treat with IV antibiotics. I needed oxygen for 3 days post-partum and also required antibiotics for the same infection. I can’t remember my babies first 3 days of his life and that’s a type of hurt I will have to live with for the rest of my life however there are some mums who get even less than this. I am incredibly lucky and grateful that things didn’t end a different way so this challenge is to support a charity who helps those less fortunate. Please, anything you can donate will go a long long way❤️
