Raising awareness of miscarriage & walking 100K in March
Saturday 21st FebWe are two friends who have experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage. Our experiences have been completely different but we both felt the same loss.
Miscarriage is far more common than many people realise. Around 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage, and every day in the UK, approximately 13 babies are stillborn. Yet despite how common baby loss is, many families suffer in silence, feeling isolated in their grief.
We are raising money and awareness for Sands, an organisation that supports anyone affected by the death of a baby. Sands provides vital bereavement support, funds research to save babies’ lives, and works to improve maternity safety and care.
By sharing our stories and fundraising, we hope to break the silence around miscarriage, honour the babies we lost, and help ensure that no family has to navigate this journey alone.
