100,000 Steps for Reggie 💙

This September, Ruby and I are taking on a little challenge together — walking 100,000 steps throughout the month to raise money for Sands, the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity.

This is a charity that is particularly close to my heart because, before we had our rainbow baby Ruby, we lost our baby boy, Reggie.

We lost Reggie while he was still in the womb after finding out that he had congenital heart disease (CHD). He had a combination of three different heart conditions, which meant that sadly, we lost him before we ever got the chance to bring him home.

Not long afterwards, we were lucky enough to welcome Ruby into our lives. She is our rainbow baby, and walking 100,000 steps with her feels like a lovely way for us to remember her big brother while raising money for a charity that supports families going through baby loss.

Sands provides support and information to families who have lost a baby, helping them through what can be an incredibly difficult time. Having a charity like this available to families is so important, which is why I wanted to do something to support them.

So throughout September, Ruby and I will be getting our walking shoes on and working towards our 100,000-step target!
