I’m taking on Winter Walk and walking 50K in December for families facing baby loss
This winter, I have committed to walking 50km in memory of my beautiful baby Sunny born on 08/08/25 and for all families facing baby loss.
Sunny was here for such a brief moment, yet filled our world with a love so powerful it still shapes each day. Even though we never got the lifetime with Sunny that we dreamed of, they will always be our little sunshine, our hearts, our everything.
In those first days, when the world felt impossibly heavy and silent, Sands gave us something that meant more than words can express: a memory box. Inside were tiny, precious things that allowed us to hold on to Sunny in a way we desperately needed, prints of their hands and feet, keepsakes, and space to capture moments we never wanted to forget. That box became a lifeline, a reminder that Sunny existed, was loved, and will forever be part of our family.
I’m also a Midwife, and I’ve been on the other side of these heartbreaking moments with families. Sands plays an enormous role in helping us do better, for parents, for babies, and for ourselves. Their training and guidance help midwives and healthcare professionals offer compassion, understanding, and the right words when everything feels wrong. Their work touches families and staff in ways that can’t be measured.
I’m walking these 50km for Sunny.
For every moment I wish I had with them.
For every family that has felt this pain.
For every midwife who wants to give the best, gentlest care they can.
For every baby who is always loved and never forgotten.
Your support, whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply thinking of Sunny, means more than I can ever say.
Thank you for helping me carry their light forward.
