With this beautiful gift for my 40th I can finally do something I've always wanted to do in the memory of our children.

On 10 June 2010, our twin boys came into the world and changed us forever. They were tiny, perfect, and so fiercely loved from the very first second. We held their hands, whispered our hopes into their ears, and prayed for more time. They fought so hard. But their little bodies couldn’t stay, no matter how much our hearts begged them to.

Sixteen years have passed, yet the ache of losing them has never softened. Grief doesn’t fade when the love is this deep. It becomes part of you — a quiet shadow, a missing piece, their names you still say in your mind every single day. There isn’t a birthday, a milestone, or even a quiet moment where we don’t wonder who they would have been, what they would have loved, how their laughter might have sounded.

This year, on what should have been their 16th birthday, I’m doing something that terrifies me and strengthens me at the same time: I’m jumping out of a plane in their honour.

A skydive feels right because grief is a freefall. Because losing them was like having the ground disappear beneath my feet. Because love — real, fierce, unbreakable love — sometimes asks us to do things that scare us.

I’m doing this jump for them.  
For the birthdays they never got to celebrate.  
For the memories we never got to make.  
For the two little boys who taught me more about love, courage, and heartbreak in their short time than most people learn in a lifetime.

Every donation is a way of saying their names matter. Their story matters. Their lives mattered.
